getting straight to the point

Building a presentation

back of the envelope.jpg

You need to make a presentation

But you don’t really want to, and even if you had the time, you don’t really know where to start.

Writing what you want to say is one thing. One thing that is going to take a long time and a lot of effort to do.

Designing your presentation is something else.

Getting it all looking right is a big job if it’s something you are not used to, or just don’t have the time.

It can sometimes be quite daunting.

You of course want it to look polished and professional

because it shows off you, and your organisation.

You’ll most likely want it looking the same as your ‘corporate ID’. Or maybe you want to start from scratch with a completely new design. (*I’ve not produced any presentations for this car manufacturer yet, I just quite liked the image)

I can help.

I have designed hundreds of presentation decks for clients around the world

They all had one thing in common – they all wanted to tell a story, and most wanted a reaction from the people they were presenting to.

Click on the My Work tab and then on any of the images there and you’ll see a selection of slides forming part of the story of each presentation I have designed.

Grab attention

Just like any good story, a presentation needs to have a beginning, a middle and an end. But unlike bedtime stories, they shouldn’t be sending your audience to sleep.

They have to grab attention and hang on to it right the way through to the end.

I can help add life to your story in a way that will have your audience hanging on to your every word, using bright and captivating graphics, making whatever you’ve got to say look so much more interesting than it might already be.

Making it sparkle

There are so many ways to make your presentation sparkle.

If you don’t already know what colours you want or the typefaces you want to use, I can give you some ideas.

If you know what you want to say but don’t know how exactly to say it, I can help.

If you need some really smart images to include and you don’t already have any, I can help source some amazing photography.

PowerPoint

I mainly use Microsoft Power point 365 to build my presentations along with Adobe Photoshop CC for image manipulation and Adobe Illustrator CC for any vector image creation. Not forgetting Microsoft Excel for any data and chart creation of course.

With Power point come some fascinating animation capabilities for slide builds along with some really interesting transitions – including ‘Morph’ if you have the latest version of Powerpoint on your computer.

I can even add a music soundtrack if that’s what’s needed.

If you are looking for some help in developing any kind of presentation, I’d be very happy to hear from you. Just click on the CONTACT button on the next page, fill out your contact details and we can talk first and maybe work together on your next presentation.

Once we know we want to work together I’ll send you a Briefing Form that, by answering a few simple questions, you’ll be describing the kind of presentation you want to have, allowing me to make a start.
